Alys, Always is an engrossing psychological thriller, adapted for the stage by Lucinda Coxon from Harriet Lane's hugely successful novel and was premiered at the Bridge Theatre in London in 2019 and directed by Nicholas Hytner.Frances works for a Sunday newspaper on the books pages. She is quietly capable, but hardly anyone really notices. After a miserable Christmas spent with her parents in Suffolk, Frances sets off to drive through dreadful weather back to her tiny flat in London. But before she has travelled very far she comes across a crashed car in a ditch by the road. The driver, a woman called Alys Kyte, is still alive and Frances stays with her until the ambulance arrives, trying to keep her conscious. The event is to change Frances’s life forever…….Sutton Amateur Dramatic Club (SADC) is a UK registered charity No.259484 and a community theatre group which performs in the Sutton, Carshalton, Banstead, Ewell and Epsom areas.
