Epsom Repair Cafe

Councillor Neil Dallen is Chair of the Epsom Repair Café, a charity which meets in the Scout HQ behind Epsom Methodist Church every month.

Councillor Neil Dallen said: “Every third Saturday of the month, I help run the Epsom Repair Café. The café is run by a group of amazing volunteers who can help fix any number of things, from electrical goods, such as lamps and toasters, to garden tools and pushchairs. Labour is free of charge, although we do make it possible to donate a small fee if someone wishes to do so.

It’s such a rewarding afternoon each month, and I love seeing people leave with their repaired items, which might otherwise have ended up in landfill. We’re also sometimes able to fix much-loved household items that would otherwise be sorely missed!

The launch of the Repair Café was supported by Epsom & Ewell Borough Council back in 2020 and, since then, we have helped thousands of residents by repairing their items - also helping to protect the environment by reducing waste.”

The café meets on the third Saturday of every month, except August and December, between 2-5pm, in Epsom Methodist Church.
