A flood alert has been issued for the River Hogsmill area from Ewell to Kingston upon Thames and the Green Lane Stream between Ewell and Epsom.

With heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast, coupled with the dry ground, flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside gardens is possible.

Residents are advised to keep an eye on the local weather conditions and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.

We have a limited number of sandbags which we can provide to protect homes (not gardens, garages or outbuildings) in imminent danger of flooding. Sandbags are not guaranteed, but dependent on availability and staff to transport them.
