You can always be assured of an engaging, entertaining, and surprising mix of music when Iain Macfarlane, St Martin’s own organist, gives a recital.  Working with the fine three-manual Norman and Beard Iain imaginatively blends old and new, the familiar and rarely performed.  Three Chorale Preludes by JS Bach alternate with the music of Epsom composer and former St Martin’s organist, Felton Rapley. And, after stepping way back in time with William Byrd, Iain brings us ‘Voices of the World’ by Iain Farrington, a piece commissioned for and premiered at the King’s coronation at Westminster Abbey this year.
