Demolition of Public Toilets at Tattenham Corner

Following planning approval received on 18 May 2022, the Tattenham Corner Road toilets will be demolished in early July 2022.  The toilets, which are situated alongside Epsom Downs, have been closed since March 2020.

Epsom and Walton Downs Conservators voted to demolish the toilet block on 8 November 2021, after the matter was also discussed extensively at the 21 June 2021 Conservators meeting. The meeting discussions, decision and planning application were publicised as required on the Epsom & Ewell website at all relevant stages. The Planning Application process also included a consultation period to receive comments.

The toilets at the Cemetery are the nearest council-owned public facilities.

The decision to demolish the existing public toilets was taken together with an undertaking to
explore the future re-provision of a toilet facility with stakeholder partners.
