The Planning Portal contains useful information on applying for planning permission and the decision-making process.
The first step is to contact us for advice prior to the submission of the planning application. We advise all applicants to discuss their proposals with us. There is a fee for this service.
On receipt of an application, we will validate your application to ensure that we have received all the necessary plans, documentation and the correct fee. This is in order to comply with national mandatory requirements and additional local requirements. The following will also assist you to make an online planning application.
Before you submit your application please check whether your development is liable for our Community Infrastructure Levy.
Once we have registered a valid application we will notify nearby neighbours and carry out appropriate publicity. Details of this can be found in our document - Your involvement in planning.
