Applications for the Household Support Fund are now open.
The Department of Work and Pensions has allocated funding to help families struggling financially in Surrey, providing crisis support to vulnerable households most in need of help with the cost of essentials.
Epsom & Ewell Borough Council is working with three local charities to administer funds from the Household Support Fund to people experiencing financial hardship across the borough. The council will work with The Good Company, Citizen's Advice Epsom and Ewell, and The Meeting Room to ensure that funds reach those who need it most. Funds must be allocated by 31 March 2025.
What type of support is available?
The support available through the fund may include help with energy and water energy bill, food vouchers, wider essentials including period and hygiene products, through to essential transport-related costs. Support may also be available for those struggling impacted by unforeseen costs. Please contact any of the organisations for more information.

The Fund is intended to cover a wide range of low-income households in need, including families with children of all ages, pensioners, unpaid carers, care leavers and disabled people, larger families, single-person households, and those struggling with one-off financial shocks or unforeseen events.
You need to be a resident in the borough of Epsom & Ewell.
