About us

The Longmead Centre is a spacious and modern building which welcomes people 55 and over who are looking for an exciting programme of social and recreational events. We also offer a range of classes designed to promote health and wellbeing. The Centre is open five days a week, Monday to Friday from 9am - 4pm. Our rooms are available for hire, details are towards the end of this web page.

Coffee shop/Restaurant

The coffee shop is set in our comfortable dining area where you can relax over a coffee and enjoy one of our freshly baked cakes and savories. This is the focal point of the Centre where people can catch up with friends and check out the regular events and activities.

The Centre has an attractive restaurant style dining room where you can enjoy a wide range of freshly prepared meals and snacks at very competitive prices.

In addition, we have special occasion lunches followed by live entertainment.

Our self service restaurant is open from 11.30am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.

Hire us

Rooms at the Centre are available for hire. The rooms are suitable for parties, meetings, exercise and dance classes. Parking is not a problem as we have a car park adjacent to the building. You are welcome to come along and see our facility and discuss your requirements.

There are bus services that run close to the Centre; The 418 stops in Longmead Road and E16 stops in Hollymoor Lane which is opposite the Centre.

The Centre is open five days a week, Monday to Friday from 9am - 4pm.
