Household Support Fund - second round
This scheme is now closed and no further payments will be made
In March 2022 the Government announced there would be further financial support to help the most financially vulnerable families and individuals. It would provide a further Household Support Fund Grant to cover the period 01 April 2022 to the 30 September 2022 and the grant would continue to be administered by local authorities.
Surrey County Council has allocated £2.45m of the funding they have received, to be distributed at a local level by the district and borough councils in the county. £142,893 has been allocated to Epsom & Ewell Borough Council to support the most vulnerable within the borough. Epsom & Ewell Borough Council have produced our own Household Support Fund Scheme.
Any award made under this scheme is expected to predominantly be used to cover increased food and energy bills.
- Households with someone of a pensionable age that currently claim Council Tax Support will receive a one-off payment of £105
- Households with working age residents that currently claim the Council Tax Income Discount will receive a one-off payment of £25
This round of the Household Support Fund will run until 30 September and we are not taking direct referrals or applications. We will contact directly those who we have identified as qualifying for a payment in due course.
Please do not email or phone us about the Household Support Fund. The only information we can provide is detailed above. Your enquiry will prevent us providing other services and making arrangements to deliver the rebate. This page will be updated regularly as more information becomes available.
