Fortnightly rubbish collections
Your kerbside recycling services allow you to recycle 50-60% of your household waste. We collect the remaining waste fortnightly.
Your green rubbish bin is for household waste that cannot be recycled through any of our recycling services.
Please remember that anything you put in your rubbish bin will be sent to landfill.
Ensure that you close the lid of your rubbish bin. We will only collect rubbish that is securely contained within your bin with the lid closed. Excess rubbish left in bags by your bin will not be collected.
Leave your rubbish out for collection in a clearly visible place at the edge of your property by 6:30am on your normal collection day. Request a collection calendar.

When do rubbish collections happen?
Collections take place fortnightly on your normal collection day - Request a collection calendar.
Great news - bank holiday week collections just got easier!
To make your recycling and waste services more convenient, from now on we will make our normal Monday – Friday collections during bank holiday weeks. So you will no longer have to remember to put your bins out one day late. Just put them out on your normal collection day, even if that is a bank holiday Monday.
We will continue, as always, to work normally on Good Friday.
Christmas and New Year weeks will continue to be advised separately, to take account of the changing holiday dates each year.
Children’s disposable nappies, incontinence pads, stoma bags
You can put these items in your fortnightly rubbish bin.
If you wish to have a weekly collection service for children’s disposable nappies, incontinence pads or stoma bags, you can join our separate collection service.
Contact us to join or fill in our online form. We will give you a separate bin for these items only. We will contact you each year to ask whether you require the service to continue. You must return the bin when you no longer need it. There is no charge for this service.
Healthcare waste arising from medical treatment can be removed by our contractor. A charge may apply. A charge is made for collecting clinical waste from commercial premises.
Contact us for further information on healthcare waste collections.
