Fortnightly rubbish collections

Your kerbside recycling services allow you to recycle 50-60% of your household waste.  We collect the remaining waste fortnightly.

Your green rubbish bin is for household waste that cannot be recycled through any of our recycling services.

Please remember that anything you put in your rubbish bin will be sent to landfill.

Ensure that you close the lid of your rubbish bin.  We will only collect rubbish that is securely contained within your bin with the lid closed.  Excess rubbish left in bags by your bin will not be collected.

Leave your rubbish out for collection in a clearly visible place at the edge of your property by 6:30am on your normal collection dayRequest a collection calendar.

Yes please:

No thank you:

• Rubble, soil or stones
• Hazardous waste
• Garden waste.
When do rubbish collections happen?

Collections take place fortnightly on your normal collection day - Request a collection calendar.

When there is a Bank Holiday on a Monday, collections will be one day late.  If your normal collection day is Friday your bin will therefore be picked up on the Saturday.  Please Note: we do work on Good Friday so collections will be as normal on that day.

Children’s disposable nappies, incontinence pads, stoma bags

You can put these items in your fortnightly rubbish bin.

If you wish to have a weekly collection service for children’s disposable nappies, incontinence pads or stoma bags, you can join our separate collection service.

Contact us to join or fill in our online form.  We will give you a separate bin for these items only.  We will contact you each year to ask whether you require the service to continue.  You must return the bin when you no longer need it.  There is no charge for this service.

Clinical waste

Clinical waste arising from medical treatment at home will be removed free of charge by our contractor.

A charge is made for collecting clinical waste from commercial premises.

For further information please contact us.
