New - now you can line your food caddy with plastic bags or liners
Until now, we have asked you to line your food caddy with either paper or compostable bio-liners. But improvements to the technology used at food recycling plants mean that we can now accept food caddies lined with plastic bags or liners - including old carrier bags. Do you need a new container?
Our refuse and recycling services
Easy to use services that allow you to recycle 60% of your waste.
Don't forget, we work as normal on Bank Holiday Mondays and Good Friday too.
Christmas and New Year's weeks' collections are always advised separately - see the label on your refuse bin handle in December for details.
What do we do with your recycling?

Turn apples into energy
83,000 tonnes of food is thrown away in Surrey's rubbish bins each year. Recycle it every week instead to make enough fertiliser for wheat to bake 16 million loaves, and enough electricity to power 10,000 homes. For tips on how the average family could save up to £60 a month visit www.lovefoodsurrey.com.
