During 2009 we introduced services to recycle food waste, plastic bottles and cardboard. Most households can now take part in these services.

Along with our other kerbside recycling services, this means that you can now recycle 50-60% of your household waste. Full details are below.

What happens if it snows?

Food waste recycling	Weekly collections of food waste for recycling.
Kerbside box and bag recycling	Weekly recycling of white paper, glass, cans, textiles and household batteries.
Cardboard and plastic recycling	Fortnightly recycling of cardboard and plastic.
Garden waste recycling Seasonal leaf recycling	Fortnightly subscription service to recycle garden waste. Fortnightly subscription service to recycle leaves from September to February.
Rubbish collections	Fortnightly collections of non-recycled rubbish.
