Sky Ride Local is coming to Surrey
From August 2012 Sky Ride Local is coming to Surrey. Led by British Cycling Ride Leaders, these guided rides are free and will be taking place at locations across the county, including Epsom & Ewell, to encourage cyclists of all ages and abilities to get on their bike and have fun!
There are five different levels starting with 3-5 mile easy rides on traffic-free paths through to 50 mile rides for more experienced cyclists looking to explore Epsom & Ewell's amazing countryside. Register your details now on www.goskyride.com to receive details of the rides.
Join in the biggest ever celebration of cycling in Surrey in 2012 by helping other people have fun on a bike!
British Cycling and Epsom & Ewell Borough Council are looking to train keen and confident cyclists as Ride Leaders to inspire others to get more out of their riding and have fun.
As a qualified Ride Leader you’ll get a recognised qualification and be able to plan, evaluate and deliver rides to groups of beginner and intermediate level children or adults as part of the Sky Ride Local programme. Working as a team, you will receive branded clothing, training, support and payment for delivering Sky Ride Local bike rides.
If you are interested in becoming a Ride Leader, visit www.goskyride.com and register on the free, one day, practical based training session in East Molesey on 21 July 2012. Rides will start from various locations in Surrey so you must be available and willing to lead a minimum of four rides in Surrey, on Sundays, from August onwards. You will be expected to use your own bike and helmet.
