18 May 2010    Bond of Friendship presentation
At the Annual Council Meeting on Tuesday 18 May 2010, Mayor Clr Jan Mason presented the Bond of Friendship to the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment on behalf of the Borough Council to recognise the close relationship with the Regiment and to express gratitude for the bravery and dedication of the troops serving in this unit in recent conflicts.

By granting the bond of Friendship to the Regiment, the Council affirms its continuing support for the Regiment. Colonel Mike Ball of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment was presented with the framed Borough Crest and signed the joint Bond of Friendship.

On Monday 21 June The Mayor Councillor Clive Smitheram, along with Members of the Council, 135 Geographic Squadron RE (V), and representatives from the Burma Star Association and the Royal British Legion will be attending the Armed Forces Flag Raising Ceremony outside Epsom Town Hall on Monday 21 June 2010 at 10.30 am (all members of the public welcome).
