Facilities

The Longmead and Wells Centres are lively, friendly community centres offering a wide range of activities and services. Both centres are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

Activities

We have an exciting range of activities and events including Tai Chi, Line Dancing, Indoor Bowls, Dancing, Arts and Crafts, Coach Outings, Holidays and Computer Courses.

Dining

Both centres have their own kitchens and catering staff who provide freshly prepared meals Monday to Friday.

We provide quality and value for money food, which includes healthy options and light snacks. There is always a choice of meals, including salads, along with a licensed bar during lunchtime.

Room Hire

Both the Longmead and Wells Centres are available for hire. We have rooms suitable for special occasion parties, meetings and training and exercise classes. Please refer to the Longmead and Wells web pages for details and prices.

Other services

Other services provided include a hairdressing salon, foot care clinic*, disability equipment shop*, hearing clinic* and laundry facilities*.

Membership

Membership entitles you to access any of our centres. We are happy for people to come along and try our services for a couple of visits before becoming members. If you live outside the Borough you are also welcome to join us.

To join as a member, all you need to do is complete a simple registration form and submit this with your first annual payment. Proof of residence may be required.

Volunteering Opportunities

There are opportunities to help within the centres. If you have any spare time, would like to offer an existing skill or learn a new one, please contact one of the centre's. All volunteers will be required to have a CRB check.
