The success of the Borough's Community Strategy will depend on the commitment and involvement of a wide range of organisations and local people.

The Epsom & Ewell Local Strategic Partnership is a non-statutory, non-executive organisation working within the boundaries of the Borough. Its aim is to allow people from different sectors and organisations to work together on strategic decisions affecting the Borough. The partners are drawn from the public, private, community and voluntary sectors and, although each will still have their own policies and priorities, they will also work together to ensure that their plans are coherent and consistent.

The LSP oversees work on a number of community projects that bring together the service providers and local community to help address some of the key issues. Areas for current action by the LSP are:

  • Economic Development, including Epsom Town Centre
  • Children and Young People
  • Health, Housing and Well-being, including Ageing Well
  • Equalities and Diversity
  • Stronger Communities - Communities with particular needs
  • Community Safety - Safer and Stronger
  • Environment and Sustainability

Other key issues to be monitored are:

  • Communication.

Information about the meetings of both the full Epsom & Ewell Local Strategic Partnership and the LSP Board, including targets and performance management reports, are available online below.

Epsom & Ewell Local Strategic Partnership comprises a variety of organisations including: Epsom & Ewell Borough Council, Central Surrey CVS, Surrey County Council, other public sector bodies, Surrey Police, Voluntary & Community Sector, NHS Surrey, Local businesses and Rosebery Housing Association.
