Council Key Priority – Championing Health Services Improvements
Championing health services improvements is one of the Council’s six Key Priorities for 2007-2011. We work in close partnership with our health services colleagues to ensure the best possible local health care provision for our residents.
In December 2008 the Council agreed a Charter to state how it would champion health services in the Borough:
Service Charter
- Campaign for high quality and locally accessible NHS Services
- Consult on local opinion and Champion local views on service provision
- Challenge unfair or unjustified decisions
- Co-operate with partners to achieve the best possible results.
